3 different thickness 7,10 and 12 mil
4 different styles
7 mil- the most cost effective laminate. The thickness of a laminate doesn't necessarily equate to the quality of the flooring as it does the price. All Inhaus laminates have the patented megaloc locking system with a water seal giving it a 72 hour water block warranty. It is safe to steam mop and swiffer! It is very pet friendly with an abrasion rating of AC3 (higher than most competitor brands 8-10 mil thick)
10 mil- the main advantage of a thicker laminate is more impact resistance. There are many other advantages such as: looks and feels more like hardwood and therefore is quieter with less echoing
More detailed designs ( Inhaus 10 mil has handscraped and rustic sawn looks matched with a 4 sided beveled edge giving it the most realistic look in the industry
Installation is better because thicker laminate can hide subfloor imperfections
Inhaus 10 mil floors are commercial rated and carry an AC4 abrasion rating ( harder than most porcelain tiles)
12 mil- The closest to hardwood thickness at nearly 1/2 inch thick. 12 mil also is commercial rated with an AC4 abrasion rating
Another difference between 12 mil and lesser laminate thickness are the aesthetics- 12 mil have the coolest designs and are the closest visually and feeling to hardwood
All Inhaus products are certified Green gold for environment safety
Can be installed in 40x40 areas without transitions
5 profiles of transitions are available
the mil thickness is a true gauge- there is no attached pad
all laminates are recommended for use on or above grade- if using on concrete substrate or basement a moisture test needs to be taking prior to purchase
Armstrong is the most recognized name in the hard surface industry
Audacity is asylish 10 mil thick laminate with many great features:
Features a commercial wear layer for extra durability, scratch and stain resistance
AC4 abrasion rating (AC stands for abrasion criteria, AC3 represents the highest rating for homeowners AC4 is the first level in commercial use )
One of laminate shoppers greatest fear when considering laminate is water or spills swelling, damaging or ruining their floors. Audacity has a patented locking system with 5x more locking points than most brands and includes an edge sealer to protect the core against moisture and humidity giving the product a 72 hour water block warranty.
It also includes an attached pad for additional comfort and sound absorption
